Where solitude meets community, and books become icebreakers
Silent Book Club Harare is Zimbabwe's fastest-growing in-person reading community that meets in person twice a month, launched in March 2025. We've grown to over 800 Facebook members & 700 WhatsApp Community members with strong event attendance, including our largest gathering of 130 attendees at a single meetup. Our unique format brings readers together to read independently in shared silence, creating a powerful blend of individual focus and community connection in different venues in Harare. If you'll be attending SBC Harare for the first time, then please read below what to expect, what to bring and how you can join our online communities.
